inspired by the fire and beauty of natural gemstones, frank yanke knew he wanted to create custom designed jewelry– rings, necklaces, bracelets and more – each hand-crafted to reflect the unique character and style of its wearer. after attending college, frank gained an apprenticeship with well-known troy jeweler, alexander bongiorno. it was while honing his skills as a goldsmith that frank met his wife, kim, who herself was a custom jewelry apprentice under bongiorno. embarking together on a mission to design and manufacture custom made jewelry, frank and kim yanke opened for business in 1981. in 1989 they settled in franklin village, where their store, yanke designs, is a well-known destination for people seeking one-of-a-kind jewelry to mark an engagement, wedding, anniversary, birthday or other special occasion. the yanke designs difference unlike the jewelry stores at the mall or in the department store, the yanke designs showroom features 100% original designs created by the yank
