Yaphathtoar Academy of Dramatic Arts

yaphathtoar academy of dramatic arts (yada) is a society of performing artists learning, exploring, growing and working together to distinguish themselves with a portfolio of diverse works for stage, screen and new media. yada was established in june of 2003 as the first entity of its kind in the bahamas dedicated to the dramatic arts with the initial goal to (1) introduce the powerful art of storytelling to markets where the craft was not currently being fostered and (2) to then bridge those markets to stronger entertainment markets thus promoting cultural awareness by means of original stories. there are two twelve week program cycles per year and yada enrols a limited number of artists per program. the training process, referred to as success story, is enhanced by two additional artist development programs: (1) show business strategy coaching and (2) showcase network mixer.
