yapp mobile is a new an exciting player in the mapping, navigation, and mobile content market. the company was formed in 2007 by a group of experienced investors with the aim to build on the ip and mapping excellence of specialist mapping software development company pmp software on all mobile device platforms. in june 2007 the company launched the second generation of its innovative and flexible mobile navigation products. yapp's suite of products has been chosen by vodafone australia & vodafone new zealand to be the engine behind vodafone's compass service, launched on a blackberry handset in september 2007 and now available on most gps handsets available in the market. the company completed its first private equity round of funding in august 2007 and its second in september 2008. our development team is based in sydney, australia, and boasts talented developers from four continents.
