yarroworks began when our founder needed a gentle salve to use for treating her chronic illness, behçet's disease. she tried salve after salve and balm after balm, but none were gentle enough for her super-sensitive skin. fueled by her lifelong interest in sensitive skin care products, and the curative benefits of herbs such as yarrow, she decided to make her own. she made a huge batch, and tinned it up to share with friends and family. everybody loved it! after years of refining her formula for this restorative salve, and giving it to friends and family, she’s teamed up with her husband to take her salve to market… and here we are now, sharing our gentle and nourishing salve with you.
