i am a fully independent mortgage specialist. my name is peter yates and i trade as 'yates financial services'. i work from home, have no employees and thanks to modern technology, am able to do everything myself, more or less wherever i happen to be: interviewing clients (face-to-face or over the phone), collating reports, completing applications (paper or online), maintaining confidential records, and all the necessary chasing. my philosophy is and always has been to look after a relatively small number of clients at a time so i can deliver first class service at all times. most of my business comes from personal recommendation. i try not to use jargon and there is no such thing as a stupid question! i love every aspect of the process, from fact-finding to research; talking to clients and lenders; dealing with all the paperwork. i never give up at the first hurdle (and there are usually a few..).
