yba communications is committed to improving the lives of children, and the professional lives of adults, through the development of oral communication skills. yba creates the most realistic live television experience available, its students quickly acquire oral communications skills. during a yba program, students learn to look into the camera (and from that to look into the eyes of the people they speak with), to organize their thoughts before speaking, to be aware of their physical presentation, to ask questions and to prepare follow-up questions before asking them, and a host of other important oral communications skills. they also learn the technical skills involved in operating digital video cameras, audio capture, tri-casters, mixing boards, editing systems and all other elements of broadcast production. finally, and perhaps most important, students learn to organize and lead projects with their peers – projects that are available for viewing on demand on our ybatv channel o
