ycdc is a community-based organisation that aims to bring equilibrium to people in society, especially for those who are affected by adverse childhood experiences (ace), and who are disconnected from their aspirations, meaning and purpose in life. young and mature people alike who’ve experienced inter-generational trauma early in childhood are less likely to have a healthy lifestyle than those who have experienced a safe, secure, loving and consistent family environment. ycdc also aims to support teachers, care and youth workers, the very people who are on the frontline working with and witnessing the psychological and emotional impact of a disenfranchised community. ycdc's philosophy is based on transpersonal and positive psychology that empowers young and mature people by guiding and enriching their sense of identity and self, through an experiential integrative model that supports and develops self-awareness, insight into repeated patterns, and builds self-confidence, self-esteem
