building snowboards was a dream that i had since i was a kid, and that dream became a reality in 2008. i never wanted to just ‘own’ a snowboarding company, i wanted to ‘design and build’ my own snowboards. i wanted to create a company that had a one-on-one relationship with its customers. i wanted to give other snowboarders the opportunity to customize their board physically, technically and aesthetically. i wanted to be original and unique… with that mindset, ydoc was born! ydoc is owned and operated by my wife and i. we are custom snowboard builders that take a great deal of pride in providing our customers with a board that is built specifically for their physical size and riding preferences. every snowboard that is built in our studio is meticulously handcrafted. each sublimated topsheet, edged base, wood core, impact resistant sidewall and carbon fiber stringer is placed with precision and attention to detail. i am always testing out new shapes, sidecut radiuses, cambers and profi
