youth with a mission (ywam) / ungdom med uppgift (umu) is an international and interdenominational missionary organisation. our motto and calling is “to know god and make him known”. ywam divides its efforts in three main focuses: evangelism, training and mercy ministries. ywam is present in more than 1,000 locations, over 150 countries with about 16,000 people serving as staff. youth with a mission sweden was started in 1976 and has trained and sent out thousands of young and old people into long term or short term missions. the first centre was established 1980 at restenäs (ljungskile), north of göteborg. centres have since then been established in stockholm (1995), vilhelmina (2003), dalarna (2003) and linköping (2008). we also have smaller ministry teams in malmö, and borås. from our centres we are ministering in sweden and reaching out to the nations. there are around 120 full time staff in sweden and every year hundreds of people participate in schools, mission trips, projects an
