zibrio is an early stage health company, commercializing certified space technology originally used on astronauts upon return from space flight. the company is dedicated to advancing novel biometrics for human balance. poor balance is a major risk factor for falling - the leading cause of accidental death in older adults. whilst balance and fall risk can be greatly improved with proper interventions, currently people are not routinely screened for balance problems until after a catastrophic fall. our vision is to transform the assessment of health, especially in older adults and injured, in routine body exams and functional physical evaluations. the company has been featured on cnn and the discovery channel, and in special reports by the president of the aarp. we will launch to clinical markets with a balance scale and extend to the older adult consumer population.
