Earth's Children

earth's children is a non-profit organization interested in the needs of youth and children - working with solutions that provide hope for a bright future. we are currently starting a project on the coast of ghana. while working on projects with the orphanage in the volta region of ghana we realized that many of the children came from single parent mothers that could no longer provide for them. so rather than being orphans living in the orphanage they were classified as abandoned children. we decided that our next step should be to try to prevent those children from entering the orphanage in the first place. so we developed a training program to help single mothers start small businesses hoping that it will keep the families together and the children off of the street and out of the orphanages. basically, we are helping the children by helping their mothers. we hope to roll this project out in phases over the next 2 years.
