eden’s creations is a plant breeding company based in wezep (the netherlands). this company is part of beheersmaatschappij hoekert b.v. founded by h.c. hoekert. the main breeding activities are classical breeding within the species calluna vulgaris, also known as heath. started in 1998 for new product development for sister company nursery hoekert b.v., edens creations now provides more than 100 growers in western-europe, eastern-europe, japan, the united states and canada, controlled by agents. during long test phases, all selected varieties are tested for resistance of diseases, durability, luminosity, uniformity and a wide range of other quality characteristics. in the early nineties, we developed the red filled-flowering calluna vulgaris dark beauty®, this variety is still popular. in 2013 our assortment includes more than 50 protected bud-blooming calluna varieties. these bud-blooming varieties are very special because the closed flower-bud which results in a very long flowering t
