edesma sa was founded in 1900 and in the oldest greek sausage company and one of the most historical in the food industry. at the beginning of the twentieth century, the founder d. ganiotis established in thessaloniki in northern greece of company similar to the one he possessed in ismir in minor asia which was producing meat products. the company has been operating since then in thessaloniki passing through the different generations of the same family. after the death of the founder, the company was renamed to ‘‘d. ganioti successors’’ and later on as ‘‘titan sa’’. in 1991 the firm adapted the name ‘‘edesma sa’’ which was the brand name of its products. in 1994 the company extended its activities to the production of greed traditional salads, which are known with the name amvrosia. very soon ambrosia became on of the leaders in the salad industry. apart from the meat products and fresh salads, the company produces and distributes marinated fish in oil with the brand name kalipso as we
