i’ll take a stand is a nationwide organization that connects local businesses within a community by taking a stand against issues such as bullying, drugs, and crime. realizing that the digital age has opened up a new form of threat to kids, education and advocacy for such issues is more vital than ever. studies have shown that 83% of girls and 79% percent of boys have been bullied in either school or online. even more disturbing, 75% of school shootings have been linked to harassment or bullying of the shooter. further, studies have shown that bullying continues into adulthood, with 40% of those who were identified as bullies in middle and high school being arrested three or more times in adulthood. i’ll take a stand uses a proactive approach to raise awareness to a wider audience through a fun medium: activity books. through a collaborative effort, i’ll take a stand offers each elementary school free activity books to use in the classrooms every year. i’ll take a stand is the bond tha
