imob, i’m my own boss – a journey of health, wellbeing, fulfilment and ownership of self, set around a modern day corroboree – a rugby league football team. the incredible, no unbelievable story of passion, dedication and drive of a unique bunch of individuals, government organisations, ngo’s, private companies and large national corporations who actually care what happens to our young indigenous kids in the northern rivers community in goonellabah, lismore, nsw have come together to support this initiative 7 years in the making. a robust support network have now taken a quantum leap. 33 indigenous girls aged 13 to 18 at the local kadina high school have formed a girls rugby league team. the ethos behind it is the girls want to take control of their own lives, health and well being. the team, or should i say the extended family unit made up of the weak and the strong, the moderately privileged to the grossly under privileged. the strong take care of the weak and through the next 12 mon
