it's value's goal is to give the cio the instruments to manage his it environment. the next step for it is to be managed as a business, therefore the cio needs to be able to have insight in his performance from an internal it, but also from an external business perspective. we call this approach technology business management, tbm. we believe the tbm approach is the next step every company needs to take to get to a new and higher maturity level ever. we're not alone in that believe, gartner says that within the next 3-5 years every company will start to use a tbm solution. it's value has the knowledge to help the cio to implement the tbm processes and tools to realise an it environment managed like a business.
