the james l. west alzheimer’s center is a not-for-profit organization founded on the love and compassion of eunice p. west, who witnessed the devastating effects of alzheimer’s disease on her husband, fort worth business leader and philanthropist, james l. west. the west center has been a pioneer from inception and is one of only a few comprehensive nonprofit alzheimer's centers of its kind nationwide. in addition to providing dignified and considerate care to those who live with alzheimer's disease and other related dementias, the west center also offers a variety of programs for those who care for loved ones living with the disease. the james l. west alzheimer's center is also home to a senior adult day program that offers day time relief to caregivers who work outside of the home or need time to rest or run errands. the program allows socialization in a safe environment, where participants are cared for while their loved ones are away. the concept that every phase of life is an oppo
