jobs for america's graduates (jag), establisthed in 1980, is a nonprofit youth development program dedicated to helping at-risk young people graduate from high school and make successful transitions to postsecondary education and meaningful employment. jag has served over 1 million youth since its inception and is currently helping 47,000 young people in 800+ schools and other locations in 32 states to achieve academic, career and life success. by identifying students with significant barriers to success, jag seeks to help the student surmount their personal barriers by providing a comprehensive youth development program, addressing both the cognitive and non-cognitive needs of each individual student. jag's emphasis on youth development is designed to foster a young person who will not only achieve academic success in order to graduate from high school, but one who will graduate with the motivation and direction necessary to compete in the 21st century workforce. jag distinguishes its
