john’s place, formerly known as duxler tire and service of glenview, first opened its doors november 1, 1980 as a branch store of the duxler family enterprise. duxler was family owned for more than 60 years. in 1995, the duxlers began selling all their locations and left the business. the current owner, john hoppe, worked at duxler tire and service of glenview as a service manager for 5 years before he purchased the store in april of 1998. in 2009, john changed the name of his store to john’s place
