the rare book business was founded in south egremont, massachusetts in 1980 by bruce and susan gventer. in 1982 we took the show on the road and started exhibiting at book fairs and antique shows. the brick and mortar store is still open but the business primarily exhibits at shows and fairs. we stock general used and rare books, medieval and renaissance pages, vintage photos, antique prints, cookbooks, art; leather bound books, decorative bindings, ephemera, along with unusual and exotic items.
