b.i.o.n.i.c. Team

b.i.o.n.i.c. teams are a worldwide movement in schools (elementary through college) that were started by a professional school counselor involved with the columbine tragedy and then four suicides at her own school. b.i.o.n.i.c. teams provide hope, support, and connection through individual outreaches to students who are new, bullied, sick, hospitalized, or lose loved ones to let them know they are "seen," they "matter," and people care. difficult experiences in young people’s lives can spiral them down into depression, loneliness, or more serious issues like suicidal thoughts. the b.i.o.n.i.c. team (believe it or not i care) was developed in schools and groups of youth to empower young people to reach out to hurting peers resulting in over 180,000 people being impacted and starting a worldwide movement of caring. challenging times, including tragedy and illness, enter each person’s life. acknowledgement of those challenges and learning basic ways to support each other results in ea
