Baadalghar

baadalghar started as a longing for a space that could inhabit the urge to create but also enable a process of making that actively acknowledges its surrounding context and engages with the local community through accessible discourse.we began with working out of an apartment in mumbai which has housed our individual practices, ranging (collectively) from painting, drawing, printmaking to photography and ceramics. while our mediums differ, the overlaps in our practices have always found a grounding in exploring the possibilities of outreach and collective making where art is no longer an object but a resource, a tool, that can catalyse dialogue. as a part of this endeavour, we've conducted workshops in experimental drawing and ceramics, and hosted a living room exhibition. now that we've set up our new space, we've also started to hold workshops here and develop virtual sessions to grow our cloud. we are currently based in porvorim, goa, where we live with our artworks and our cat, sa
