babak abdolghafari was born in 1989 in talesh, near the caspian sea where he was inspired by its wonders in his aesthetic art journey. in 2009 he received his bachelor's in architecture at enghelāb-e eslāmi technical university of tehran. babak started his professional career in 2009 by teaming up with numerous award-winning architects in tehran. in 2013, he was one of the team members for harvard architect farshid moussavi’s third book ‘function of style’. that same year he also collaborated with well-known architects of metropolitan tehran, including internationally acclaimed designer bahram shirdel. in 2015 he ended his collaboration with bahram and continued to work on his architecture practice and art studio, babak abdolghafari&associates. during his professional career, he has also taught several academic courses in different institutes and universities. starting in 2012, he held two concurrent positions as a workshop instructor at the tumo center for creative technologies and
