balance is a responsive classroom tool used by teachers to support their planning. all of the latest research points to teachers leaving the profession, largely due to unsustainable workload. we want to help stop this exodus whilst ensuring that pupil’s learning is supported in the best way possible. balance puts learning first. it is simple and manageable. by making an assessment at point of learning, teachers can better use their skills and time to plan inspiring lessons based on the strengths and the gaps in children's learning. balance is an online application, which can be used on any device, enabling teachers to make rapid judgments about the depth of understanding. in the schools which are already using balance, by recording assessment more formatively, not only are lessons more tailored to learner needs, but the amount of time spent preparing for progress meetings, parents' evenings, end of term assessments, etc. has be drastically reduced. whereas teachers spent on
