rebekah “betti” guerra began her dance training at 19 years old at riverside city college. soon after she joined the riverside-based dance companies counterpoint/shift under sue roginski and intersect dance theatre under sofia carreras. further into her career she transferred to university of california, riverside where she received scholarships such as the dorella anderson award, the chancellor's performance award in dance as well as the opportunity to be a gluck fellow. as a freelance dancer she has worked with kenneth walker dance project, boroka nguy and jay carlon. from 2018-present, guerra continues to develop her craft by training with artists and companies such as sidra bell, bobbi jene smith, ohad naharin, daiane lopes da silva, hillel kogan, micaela taylor, nader hamed, yin yue, westside school of ballet, alonzo king’s lines ballet, gibney dance company. as an independent choreographer her movement practices are rooted in ballet, movement research, dance theatre and poetic na
