barbara has devoted her life to fighting for the people of eastern north carolina. after growing up in a racist community with little opportunity, she studied criminal justice. she became well-known as an advocate who can bridge gaps between different groups by using knowledge from various fields like mental health or law enforcement. barbara will do anything necessary - even if it means taking on family responsibilities! barbara has been fighting to restore our communities, renewing infrastructure and healthcare for all. she is committed to restoring justice by dismantling systemic racism, which will lead us into an era where we can invest more heavily in mental health & substance abuse treatment while also ending cash bail, so individuals get back up again quickly after being released from jail or prison--all this done through reentry programs that have been designed specifically with these issues at hand: environmental-justice embedded throughout them as well because barbara underst
