our new partnership brings together the energies, expertise and experience of hannah russell and jo o’connell. having formerly been colleagues in the international development sector and ultimately childhood friends, we diverged professionally to specialise and are now recombining skill sets to offer research and consultancy services to ingos, and third and public sector bodies. hannah (formerly of actionaid myanmar) is currently engaged in research on torture and carcerality in myanmar for the danish institute against torture (dignity). she maintains a network of in-country consultants and colleagues from the ingo sector and disabled people’s organisations (dpos). jo is an experienced international research manager, whose key skills are in the design and delivery of research and mel projects for within international development and in remote training.
