our story bare coffee company's journey began many years ago when founder, michael datta (originally a winemaker at mdv wines and founder / wine director of the international wine industry “hub” the grape hunter) fell in love with the similarities between making wine and coffee. more importantly the unique bond between the lovers of coffee and wine. all have a huge passion for wonderful flavours lifestyle. michael started researching what was great about the coffee industry and also what was missing. what he found was the “missing coffee link”; a hub of all things coffee. just as michael created with the grape hunter, he new it was time that coffee industry had the chance to collaborate, share in their ideas and create great coffee for all to taste. in 2011, michael made it his mission to research all the wonderful single origins across the globe and the unique flavours and characters that each origin expressed. he then spent another twelve months learning all there was to learn
