Barfield Stud

barfield holiday cottages and smallholding is located near crackington haven/launceston, north cornwall. we let out our self-catering holiday cottage (sleeps 6) all year round and breed a few coloured and appaloosa horses, southdown sheep, rare breed chickens and call-ducks. we have also (2017) ventured into honey bee keeping in an effort to stop the decline in the british honey bee. with the advent of sian davis leaving us for health reason, we scaled down our horse breeding activities and now breed between 3 and 4 per year. our holiday cottage is spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, a living room with a six-seating dining area and a further sitting room (the snug). both rooms have a tv and dvd player with access to super-fast broadband. it has three bedrooms (sleeps 6), 1 - zip & link double (king), a twin with two single beds and a further double (soon to be a zip & link). there is one en-suite shower/wc, a shared electric shower/wc on the first floor and a ground floor wc and clo
