Bassishaw Ward Club

bassishaw ward has a central position among the 25 wards within the city of london. it is bounded by noble street to the west, coleman street to the east, fore street to the north of london wall and gresham street to the south. the ward contains guildhall, the guildhall library and guildhall art gallery. the ward club ward clubs are a part of the democratic evolution of the city government, and one of their objectives is to preserve civic democracy. they arose to continue the intimate relationship between electors and elected and give an opportunity to have a say in local matters, enjoy social events and take part in charitable causes. members can meet their representatives on the common council, give them ideas or ask for help with problems and find out about the work of the corporation. joining the ward club meet your elected representatives—each ward in the city elects an alderman and a number of common councilmen in proportion to its size. bassishaw has two common councilmen.
