bastard is an independent platform and forum for experimental performing arts, choreography and interdisciplinary art practices. bastard is a street intersection that, among other things, experiments with written formats. bastard, as a public laboratory, tries to develop and give space to a language for the field that challenges art genres. in addition, bastard publishes performance texts. bastard will strengthen the conditions of art criticism in denmark by working for a diversity of voices about art as well as a diversity of the art that is covered, since art criticism is an important part of the social debate. bastard will also work to create a culture to reward art criticism and, over time, follow the norsk kritikerlaug's recommended rates. the ambition is that bastard will eventually become a nordic project.
