the association of press and publishers in turkey was established in 1991 by experienced publishers who came together to act on certain principles. it produces solutions to the problems of the sector and its members in order to improve the publishing profession. we support activities aimed at strengthening the cultural industries of our country in the long term, especially through the development of the creativity and entrepreneurship skills of young people. we coordinate various activities by collaborating with sector representatives, government institutions, non-governmental organizations, universities, and opinion leaders. we set out to combat those who create and sell pirated publications, to encourage our people to appreciate culture, art, and literature, to develop a reading culture, and to promote turkish literature abroad.
