john (ryan) bates began his career as an apprentice to his grandfather when he was 16 years old. after learning all he could from him, ryan struck out on his own to gain more experience and knowledge in the field. he worked hard to earn his journeyman license. he has been licensed in california, nevada, and texas. after working 18 years for major electrical contractors, he decided it was time to start his own company. so, in 2017 he opened bates electric, inc. since then, he and his crew have been involved in the construction of dental and medical offices, apartment complex electrical services and upkeep of different exhibits at the witte museum.
