Bay of Bengal Programme

the bay of bengal programme inter-governmental organisation (bobp-igo) is a regional fisheries body working toward improvement of livelihoods of marine fishermen and conservation of fisheries resources in the bay of bengal. the current member-nations of the organization are bangladesh, india, maldives and sri lanka.the main activities of the organization are sustainable development of regional fisheries resources, improving safety and health of fishing communities, policy advocacy, networking and knowledge dissemination through training programmes for fishermen and fisheries officials.
