1. introduction:- barli development institute for rural women (bdirw) (founded in the year 1985) is a registered non-governmental, non-profit, developmental organization which aims to empower young rural and tribal women to become agents of social change through the acquisition of a wide range of skills and knowledge needed to improve the lives of their families, their communities and themselves. based in indore, bdirw has successfully completed 116 residential training programs for more than 8800 women from nearly 880 villages of madhya pradesh and other parts of india. it gives priority to socially & economically disadvantaged women, i.e., scheduled caste, tribes and backward classes; some are physically challenged, orphans, widows, or divorcees who are often neglected by their society. it was registered as an independent ngo in 2001 and is currently managed and guided by its own board of directors. 2. vision: ‘our vision is a world in which every rural and tribal woman attains the
