i am a reformed fortune 10 director who saw all the good, bad, ugly, illegal, immoral, and just plain stupid business practices that corporate america believes is normal. these practices have helped contribute to enormous income inequality that hasn’t been seen in the u.s. for almost 100 years. i helped by finding efficiencies and working for a company that surplused employees every year i worked there. jobs that made over $50k to $60k a year (in 2000) now make around $25k to $35k because of outsourcing and job description changes. employees are being expected to handle multiple people’s jobs and when they cannot they are labeled as incompetent. how did the u. s. become a country that is run by greed, fear, and hatred? in the name of capitalism and our greed, we have created a society that has become an apathetic instant gratification nation. we don’t care, but we want everything as fast as possible. this attitude we have has enabled the pay gap for women, lgbtq+, and people of color
