my consulting practice is focused exclusively on nonprofits and i bring a perspective that includes fundraising, health & human services, grant making, and government programs. since 2001, i have served as chief financial officer (full-time, part-time, interim, and advisory) for a number of nonprofit organizations in san diego, orange county, and los angeles. a primary function of my work has been to assist various boards in carrying out their governance responsibilities. to that end i use develop a collaborative and informed process that maintains focus on the board’s collective and individual duty of care and duty of loyalty.
