the bee retail group is israel's largest group of retail chains for home and leisure merchandise. the group, a subsidiary of alon holdings blue square, targets the home accessories and leisure markets. it includes the retail chains kfar ha'shaashuim, hakol bedollar, sheshet, and doctor baby which operate on the basis of franchises, and also vardinon and naaman, both public companies that market their products at the company stores and through the large retailers. in total, the group comprises about 280 stores all over israel. the group has a turnover of more than 500 million nis, most of it in terms of wholesale prices. the group started out in 1994 and since 2010 alon holdings blue square ltd. holds 100% of bee group.
