bee prepared now! inc. is a new york city nonprofit organization founded and established on the principles of charity, education and community. each year 100,000 new yorkers experience homelessness. nearly one-in-five homeless parents were in foster care as a child. every time a child moves into a new foster care home or homeless shelter, they are at risk of falling behind in their studies, feeling unwanted and losing their sense of purpose, direction and worth as their lives are dramatically changed. bee prepared now!, inc. aims to help them fill in the gaps with programs to esteem and enhance their circumstances. we believe mentoring, support and awareness of the resources available are tools that assist in being prepared for a productive life inside and out of the classroom which is key in breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
