the beijing energy network (ben) is a volunteer-driven organization with a mission to promote greater collaboration and understanding towards tackling china’s energy and environmental challenges. speaker series since 2008, ben's flagship event has been the beijing energy & environmental roundtable (beer), an approximately twice-monthly happy hour speaker series featuring expert presentations, panel discussions, workshops, networking activities, and field trips. reading group ben reading group meets about once a month to discuss energy and environmental policies, reports, and research over food and drink. often, the report writer or publishing organization will be in attendance to share insights, put research into context, and provide additional resources. podcast environment china is a bilingual podcast from the beijing energy network. the show features high-level conversations with advocates, entrepreneurs, and experts working in the sustainability field in china. due to covid-1
