i 1983 startede benny og kirsten hansen virksomheden bekidan i mindre lokaler på midtfyn. siden er det gået stærkt. i 1986 flyttede bekidan til eget nybygget 600 m2 værksted i årslev, dette blev udvidet i 1990 med endnu 1000 m2. der blev også løbende investeret i maskiner til produktionen, så alt kunne fremstilles på eget værksted. både klip og buk, cnc fræsning, drejning og egen tegnestuen som blev udstyret med moderne 3d tegneprogrammer. det var primært produktion af pottemaskiner der var hovedproduktet de første år, men der blev i stigende grad også fremstillet komplette produktionsanlæg til større danske gartnerier. i 2007 blev der igen udvidet med 900 m2 montageværksted, så det nu var muligt at lave større anlæg der kunne opstilles og testes på værkstedet, inden de leveres til kunden. i dag råder vi over 2500 m2 sammenhængende værksted og kontor. her fremstiller vi selv alle dele til vores maskiner og anlæg. op igennem nullerne kom industrirobotterne ind som en fast del af bekid
