Belda Gangadhar Academy

quite a century back, belda gangadhar academy assumed its inception at a small village named belda within the jurisdiction of narayangarh block in midnapore district (now paschim medinipur) in 1919. it was a mere structure, mud-walled, bamboo-roofed and straw-thatched. the benevolent founder, late lamented raisahib gangadhar nanda, the then zaminder of mugberia (now in purba medinipur), shouldered the full financial responsibilities of running the school for a pretty long time till its first recognition. the school very soon attracted pupils from neighbouring areas including odisha to its folds and equipped itself into a high school and gradually elevated into an erstwhile h.s. school in 1961 and into a plus two (10+2) course h.s. school in 1976. during its long march of hundred years as many as fifteen eminent headmasters have steered its activities till date. it is worthy to note with a humble vanity that sri s.k. misra, retired headmaster, glorified the school being bestowed with th
