our vision is to reduce waste costs. our system achieves a high level of control and traceability for tool/machine operations in an assembly environment in the manufacturing industry. the need for such a product comes from the high cost for rework and recalls e.g in the automotive industry, which amounts to tens of billions of dollars each year. with computer vision and laser technology, our existing mvp system guides a tool operator to correct operation point, it controls the smart tool to be enabled at correct position and disabled at wrong positions, and it ensures traceability from the operations. we have also developed a more general system for support in all forms of assembly, something we call ‘realar™’. here, a workpiece is illuminated with a visual laser, and the illumination has the same shape as the part to be assembled. thus, it is augmented reality without the need for either helmets, hololenses or screens. fully developed, the system will involve asymmetric free space
