berlin sci-fi filmfest is now in its 5th year, and after a difficult 2020 for all filmmakers and festival curators, we are still here. we offer a platform for independent sci-fi filmmakers from around the world. with us, they can present their work on the big screen and on a virtual platform. our event happens in the world-famous babylon cinema, berlin (1927 metropolis had its first screening). what could be more sci-fi? over the last few years, we have been delighted by over 400 films from more than 38 different countries. our festival is the first genre-specific sci-fi film festival in germany. we are passionate about filmmaking and are interested in all things sci-fi. whatever the style from geek interest, documentary, web-series, narrative, animation, music, experimental, fan-films, in fact, as long as it is science fiction – we love it! our aim is a sci-fi fun-fest that takes place at the end of november. we believe we have something for every science fiction fan.
