the creation of the bio-engineering student association (best) begun with the realization that although bio-engineering in itself is a vast field, there is little opportunity for students in every engineering discipline to incorporate biological applications with engineering, as well as noticing there was a lack of resources for students interested in this field. the primary mission of best is to promote bio-engineering and inspire others by providing resources for learning, as well as networking and professional development opportunities. we host workshops, information sessions and showcase various career paths via professionals in this field and connect students to industry and research leaders. ultimately, we strive to build a strong community of engineers interested in bio-engineering by facilitating communication and innovation within this dynamic field.
