Bethel Ct Pride

bethel ct pride was founded in march 2017 by 12-year-old student hailey gesler. gesler’s goal was to celebrate and support the lgbtq+ community in the greater danbury, ct area. initially projected to draw only 50 attendees, the inaugural celebration and parade was attended by over 300 people, proving the need for an lgbtq+ organization in the area. a group of devoted volunteers now run bethel ct pride throughout the year. their goal is to maintain the yearly celebration and continue to provide supportive programing, especially for students and families. the annual bethel ct pride parade & celebration provides a safe space for gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, genderqueer, non-binary, ace, intersex, allies, and questioning individuals to celebrate their authentic selves. over 1k+ attendees from ct, ny, ri, and beyond enjoy the event each year. the event features music, entertainment, art, food, and vendors from members of the lgbtq+ community. and the support of local businesses and com
