beyond limits education, inc. was founded on the premise of helping students reach beyond their limits one day at a time. while teaching in the public education system, owner brigitte denton (steinmetz), constantly ran into barricades set into place by adults who felt that students could not possibly reach for the stars. she persistently questioned “why not?” lao tzu once wrote, “give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”. through brigitte’s own growing process as a teacher, she noticed that if she provided a solid foundation for students to stand upon rather than just nurse them with information, there were no limits on what they could achieve. beyond limits education seeks to develop leaders who will be able to problem solve by thinking outside the box, be a responsible steward of the planet, and help others reach beyond their limits. first aid/cpr and wilderness medicine program be better prepared to help save a life by
