Beyond Study Abroad

beyond study abroad is a study abroad and service-learning experience in costa rica that is designed specifically for collegiate student athletes! we believe international education is becoming an increasingly important component of a college degree and are concerned that small college student-athletes typically study abroad at far lower rates than their non-athlete piers. as former student-athletes ourselves, we developed a program that breaks down the barriers preventing student-athletes from studying abroad. the main pillars of our programs include academic credit through top costa rican universities, intense athletic training, adventure excursions, and a unique service-learning experience that allows student athletes to use their sport as a vehicle for improving the lives of disadvantaged costa rican youth!
