bharat abhyudaya foundation (baf) is a young and entrepreneurial organization founded by a group of exuberant young professionals coming from diverse fields who were committed to the cause of institutional reform in india’s education sector. baf attempts to bring leading educationists, researchers, think tanks and concerned government officials on a single platform to not only drive better policies but also ensure their efficient delivery. creation of effective implementation and monitoring mechanisms for policies such as the section 12(1)(c) of the rte act, promotion of social inclusion and building social accountability systems around public schools have been major focus areas. baf has recently been covered in education world magazine as one of the 26 high impact ngos in education sector in the country. baf’s founder samina bano is an iim bangalore alumna and ashoka fellow.
