foundation big brothers big sisters is a nonprofit organization founded in new york in 1904. since then, as many as 3 million children have benefited from the help mentor, supported by professionally qualified employees of the foundation. currently, there are about 250 thousand. established relationships in the united states and 30 thousand. relationships in other countries. in 1904, ernest coulter, a court clerk from new york pointed out that more and more boys appear in the courtroom court. he came up with the idea that with the help of adults, many of these boys may have less trouble. his actions were the beginning bbbsp. at the same time, members of a group called ladies of charity helped girls who faced court for minors. this organization later became part of bbbs. 100 years later the organization remains faithful to the vision of its founders and helps to find significant adults supporting children in need. currently, big brothers big sisters operates in 50 us states and in 14 co
